The IIER Distinguished Virtual Lecture Series<\/em><\/h4>\n

that aims\u00a0to delve into the rich and diverse scholarship in the field of International Relations (IR) by featuring prominent theorists and brilliant speakers from around the world who have made important contributions to the field.<\/p>\n

We are honored to host the first Distinguished Speaker: Knud Erik J\u00f8rgensen, Professor Emeritus, Aarhus University<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Knud Erik J\u00f8rgensen<\/b>\u00a0(PhD) is Professor Emeritus at Aarhus University.
\nHe is a co-editor of the book series Palgrave Studies in International Relations and the European Union in International Affairs. Publications include:\u00a0The Sage Handbook on European Foreign Policy<\/i>\u00a0(co-ed 2015);\u00a0International Relations Theory: A New Introduction\u00a0<\/i>(Palgrave 2017); co-edited with Oriol Costa,\u00a0The Influence of International Institutions on the European Union: When Multilateralism Hits Brussels<\/i>\u00a0(Palgrave 2012); co-edited with Katie Laatikainen,\u00a0Handbook on the European Union and International Institutions: Performance, Policy, Power<\/i>\u00a0(Routledge 2013). Articles have appeared in European Journal of International Relations, Journal of European Integration, Journal of European Public Policy, Cooperation and Conflict. He is involved in the COST Action ENTER Network, the EUNPD Network and EURDIPLO, a research project on the EEAS. His most recent books are:\u00a0What \u0399s International Relations?\u00a0<\/i>(2021) and\u00a0The Liberal International Theory Tradition in Europe<\/i>\u00a0(2021).<\/p>\n
